JULY 2017 FAVORITES

Summer is in full swing and with this summer heat and humidity (yuck) I don’t really get into the mood of putting on makeup which is why my July 2017 favorites are pretty short and sweet. It defintely does not mean that I love these products any less! See my thoughts below.

With this month being at an all time high for stress – it has unfortunately caused me to break out a bit. The Covergirl Vitalist Healthy Elixir is a very full coverage foundation (see my review here) which helps me to cover up the redness and blemishes I’ve been having, but lately I have been wanting to thin it out to give a more natural look. This is when my trusty Makeup Forever Water Blend foundation saves the day. I put about 2 pumps of the Cover Girl foundation onto the back of my hand, and 1 pump of the Makeup Forever one, and with a flat foundation brush like this one I mix them together and then apply with the brush onto my face and neck. After using the brush to apply the foundation, I use a damp Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge and begin pouncing the sponge onto my face to blend out the foundation. This combo has been so perfect for me to give a more natural coverage but still covering my blemishes.

Yup, i’m yet another person raving about the L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Lash Paradise and I am not ashamed because this product is just THAT good. I have never tried the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara but after hearing that the L’Oreal one is almost identical – I have to say that I don’t even want to try it because of the huge price differnece (L’Oreal: $8.99 @ Target + Too Faced: $23.00 @ Sephora). Lash Paradise has a very simple wand that is thin enough to allow me to coat all of my lashes without having an issue of accidentally getting the product on my eyelids. It gives me fuller, longer looking lashes and does not smudge or flake off on me throughout the day. My lashes are naturally straight but after using a lash curler and this mascara it holds my curl for 8+ hours without an issue.

I have quite a few of the Wet n Wild 1 Step Wonder Gel nail polishes and they have never let me down. Currently I have been loving the color Condensed Milk. The name may have confused you, but nope – no LED/UV light is needed for these bad boys. I first apply a base coat (currently using this one) and then go in with the Condensed Milk polish. The brush is the perfect size to coat the nail with ease and is not too big where you have to worry about applying polish accidentally outside of your nail. It’s easy to maneuver and does not leave the polish streaky at all. With just two coats of this polish it is very opaque and a gorgeous creamy white shade. I currently have this polish on right now and it did not begin chipping until about 5 days in – that’s quite impressive to me!

I know it’s just a few products that are listed on this post, and I am sorry! Even though it is just four beauty items – they are so amazing and I think that you should give them a go.

What were your favorites in the month of July? Let me know!
