Using almost ALL drugstore products in this post – woohoo! I’m always trying to be on a budget, and I this look is great for those who want to save some $, but still get a great makeup look. Let’s get started!
Primer: The Ordinary High-Spreadability Fluid Primer | Since I am going in with a foundation that tends to dry very quickly on the face, I like to use this primer from Ordinary because it gives me that little extra time that I need to work the product into my skin and blend the foundation out with ease.
Foundation: Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation (True Beige) | I apply about a dime sized amount of the foundation to the back of my hand, and then with my pointer finger dip into the foundation and apply dots on my face and neck. With the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge (slightly damp) I then begin patting the foundation into the skin using the flatter side of the sponge.
Concealer + Highlight: NYX Hi Definition Photo Concealer + NYX Away We Glow Liquid Highlighter (Daytime Halo) | To conceal my under eyes I apply the concealer in an upside-down triangle shape. Before blending the product into my skin I have been loving using the highlighter and apply it to my cheekbones. Then I go in with the same Real Techniques sponge I used to apply my foundation except now using the tapered end and work both of the products into my skin. I have really been enjoying blending both this highlight and concealer together because I think it melts right into the skin and creates such a gorgeous natural glow.
Setting Powder: Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder (Nude Beige) | To keep everything in place I apply this pressed powder focusing first under my eyes to prevent creasing, and then buff it all over my entire face and down my neck.
Bronzer: Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer | I like to warm up my skin by applying this bronzer to my forehead, and cheekbones.
Blush: Wet n Wild MegaGlo Highlighting Powder (Crown My Canopy) | The perfect two in one combo of a blush + highlight. I apply this to the apples of my cheeks as well as my temples. This is why I chose to name this blogpost “Peachy Glow”, this highlight is a beautiful coral/peach color with gold reflects in it.
Eyes: Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer (crease) , Wet n Wild MegaGlow Highlighting Powder (lid), Makeup Revolution Vivid Shimmer Brick in Radiant (outer V) | One of my favorite things to do with makeup is use some of the same products for different areas of my face. I use my ring finger and apply the Wet n Wild Highlighting Powder onto my lids, then with a blending brush I go in with the Butter bronzer and work that into my crease and outer V. Adding more depth I use the two last shades in the Shimmer Brick and use the same blending brush and apply it focusing on the outer V.
Mascara: Essence Mascara Get BIG Lashes! Volume Curl Mascara | Once I have curled my lashes I apply one coat of the mascara. This is a great drugstore option for those who struggle with lashes holding a curl! The wand is a little harder to work with since it’s quite large, but if you get mascara on your lid just have it dry for a minute or so and then wipe it away with a Q-tip.
Lips: Rimmel London Exaggerate Full Colour Lip Liner (Enchantment) + Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Color Splash Lipstick (Colada) | I’ve been using this lip combo for about 2 months now and still love it!
Hope everyone has a great and safe 4th of July weekend!
